Arturo Pagán is the Deputy Director and Chief, HR Strategic Partner within the Division for Human Resources at the UN Population Fund (UNFPA).
Arturo has worked at UNFPA for over 13 years as Human Resources Specialist, Chief of the Learning, and currently as the Deputy Director. In this role, Arturo leads a group of HR business partners based in UNFPA’s six Regional Offices and Headquarters.
Before UNFPA, Arturo worked as an HR Officer with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) in Rome, and as a Senior Program Officer with the Institute for International Education (IIE) in Washington supporting USAID-funded development initiatives.
Arturo holds a MA in International Affairs from George Washington University, an MS in Secondary Education from the University of Rochester, and is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). He is currently a Board member of AHRMIO and also serves on the Advisory Board for the Master in HR and Organization, Bologna Business School.
